The design celebrates Canada’s historic fishing industry and restores the public plaza and long term master plan for Canada’s 150th birthday.
Phase 1 revitalization includes a public plaza for gatherings, farmers markets, celebrations and interpretative activities.

The significant upgrades highlight one of Canada’s best-kept National Historic Sites. Key attention was paid to enhancing the visitor experience, improving outdoor event programming and opportunities for flexible gathering space. Material and textures highlight the historic industrial character taking advantage of the spectacular waterfront location.
