Canada Place North Point Renewal

Come experience Canada Place and the renewal to the North Point. The reconstruction will be completed May 2017, and ready to host key events including National Aboriginal Day and Canada’s 150th Birthday!

The design vision symbolizes islands in the ocean – representing Captain George Vancouver’s incredible journey from ‘Desolation to Splendour’ in 1792.

The revitalized public plaza and promenade with contemporary seating, performance stage and viewing platform, ambient mood lighting, create an inviting year round place day and night for all ages.

Key attention was paid to enhancing the visitor experience and improving outdoor event programming, opportunities for flexible gathering spaces, and to take advantage of the spectacular waterfront location. Vibrant marble paving and sculptural furniture/planters symbolize water, movement, and reflection.
