With the longer days and beautiful weather, people are heading outside to their favourite Vancouver places, like Jericho Beach, with it’s world famous beauty, is a hot spot for tourists and locals alike.
Completed in 2013, Connect Landscape Architecture worked closely with the Vancouver Parks Board through public consultation with neighbours, environmentalists, veterans and recreational enthusiasts to revitalize and chart a new vision for the site. Based on public feedback Connect developed a landscape plan that removed the wharf, restored the natural beach, improved beach access, acknowledged RCAF history, enhanced habitat and expanded upon useable park space.
This beach is a hub of activity during the summer months and has facilities for all our favourite activities, including Soccer, Baseball, Beach Volleyball and Tennis. Kayaking or Paddleboarding are some of the best ways to take advantage of the water or having a picnic after walking, riding bike or rollerblading the seawall is another way to spend a perfect summer day.
Jericho also hosts some exciting events.
