The renovation to the existing landmark facility will create a dynamic public outdoor gathering place on the 9th level. Inspired by gardens around the world, the public outdoor garden is flexibly designed to accommodate large groups for lectures, receptions, and for smaller intimate outdoor readings, quiet study and individual reading nooks. The central plaza allows for up to 120 people to be seated comfortably for larger events and receptions. On a typical day, the outdoor space is a contemplative stroll garden with centrally located movable tables and chairs for 40-50 people.
